My story… As many of you may know Finding Answers Inside the Home was formed in honor of my oldest son, Quintas. In 2017, Quintas was tragically killed by police while experiencing a mental health crisis. Shortly after the death of Quintas, I battled with severe depression and anxiety. Let me just say, “ battling depression is hard!” Being depressed is painful and debilitating and can result in family strife and general misery. Over the past five years, my life has been a roller coaster ride of emotions. I have experienced irritability, insomnia, emptiness and even difficulty concentrating. Thankfully, depression-a mental health disorder- is treatable. Through treatment and the support of my family I’m finding my way. Finding Answers Inside The Home is playing a major part of this season in my life. It has become my passion thereby igniting my purpose. Finding Answers Inside The Home is allowing me to turn my hurts and my pain into healing for others.
